Canadians Against Oppression and Persecution (CAOP)

A Strong Voice for the Protection of Human Rights and the Advancement of Democratic and Constitutional Values

CAOP is committed to promoting and defending human rights and preventing human rights violations and abuses by regimes inclined to fascism and other oppressive ideologies.

CAOP is an alliance of institutions, organizations and individuals committed to the promotion, protection and realization of human rights nationally and internationally

ADVOCACY

CAOP is an advocacy group for the inclusion of Human Rights and Religious Freedom policies at all levels of government to eradicate racism, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, the subjugation of indigenous people and discriminations of all forms.

  1. Engaging with the Canadian government, leaders and activists in de-escalating oppression and persecution of minorities around the world.
  2. Engaging and working in partnership with human rights organizations, mainstream media, politicians, law-makers, religious leaders, ensuring their participation through dialogue to restore peace and justice.
EDUCATION

Educating Canadians and international communities on issues pertaining to unconstitutional and illegal occupations, repression and abrogation.

  1. Gathering, documenting and disseminating information on the atrocities done to oppressed people by repressive regimes around the world.
  2. Organizing seminars and information sessions to better inform political, religious, community and youth leaders of human rights violations (in Canada and other places in the world).
  3. Organizing workshops with Canadian law enforcement groups, mosques, human rights and other institutions in the deradicalization of those exposed to extremist ideologies.
  4. Engaging with youth, law enforcement organizations, mosques, churches, synagogues, gurudwaras, other faith groups and civil society in fostering
    mutually beneficial relationships.
EMPOWERMENT

Empowering oppressed individuals and communities in having their rights restored by:

  1. Engaging with and organizing marginalized and voiceless members of oppressed people into active and vocal communities.
  2. Offering Media Spokesperson Workshops to oppressed groups.
  3. Providing access to free and un-biased media outlets around the world.
  4. Providing advice to marginalized and oppressed individuals and people on how to bring about positive changes in liberal democracies through legal and peaceful measures
